72-Inch Multi-Level Cat Tree with Hammock, 2 Condos & Sisal Posts

A 72 inch cat tower with two enclosed condos, a hammock, four open perches and five sisal posts, built so that several cats can use it at the same time without getting in each other's way.

Size and where it fits

The tree stands 72.4 inches tall (184 cm) on a 20.9 inch square base, so it needs a corner rather than a hallway. Height is the point: a cat that can get above head level gets somewhere to retreat to and somewhere to watch the room from, which is the part of outdoor life that indoor cats lose first.

What is on it

• Two enclosed condos, one at the base and one in the middle, for cats that sleep tucked away.
• A hammock, 20 by 16 inches, slung between the posts at mid height.
• Four open perches, including a top platform with a raised rim.
• Five scratching posts wrapped in natural sisal, 3.7 inches across, plus a large flat sisal pad at the base for cats that scratch horizontally.
• A ramp and dangling pom-poms between levels.

Weight limits, stated plainly

The manufacturer rates the tower at 60 lb of total static load and 11 lb per individual cat. That covers most adult domestic cats and several of them at once. If you have a Maine Coon or another cat well over that, this is not the frame for it, and we would rather say so here than have you find out after assembly.

Covers, cleaning and stability

The perch covers detach and go in the washing machine, which matters more than it sounds like it does on a piece of furniture that collects hair for years. An anti-tip kit is included to anchor the top of the tower to the wall. Fit it. A tall tree with a cat launching off the top platform is a tall tree that moves.
